Thailand is a tourist magnet, because of the place’s climate, food, rich culture, stunning beaches and mountains.  Thailand has a strong agriculture and the folks there have an open mind which leads them to a peaceful and fun lifestyle. It wouldn’t be fair if you come here and don’t extend your stay! So many tourists worldwide come here because, on a low budget, you can still do and experience a lot while visiting here. You can hire a self-driven car in Thailand to travel in & around these Places. So, here are the top places in Thailand:

Pattaya

This place is famous for quite a lot of things.  With much happening on the streets of the city, tourists can go in experience local street food, meet interesting characters, stop at go-to bars, and other small places that perk up your interest. You can certainly get obsessed with the lights of the city, if you like to take selfies and photographs. Pattaya is home to the Sanctuary of Truth, which is completely carved out of wood. The place with the best garden, flowers, statues, and water bodies, is the Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden. There’s even a sample wine tasting spot at the Silver Lake Vineyard. Tourists can have fun at its best shopping at the Pattaya Floating Market.

Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai, the land of misty mountains and amazing. This place offers the best courses on cooking and massaging. The local tribes of the place are colourful at heart, friendly and open minded. Chiang Mai existed since 1296 and now tourists can see the merging of old and new buildings. There are a lot of shopping places here, near the hills too. People can enjoy the delicious local cuisines. This place is relatively small compared to other places but it is packed with a lot of interesting things for the tourists to enjoy!

Ayuthaya

Honing more than 400 temples, 3 palaces, and a massive population of 1,000,000 locals, Ayuthaya is located in the Chao Praya River Valley and is perched on a island surrounded by 3 rivers! No kidding, this city was tagged as the most magnificent city on earth years back. This place is filled with the ancient spiritual ambience, which illuminates from within all the temples and statues here. There is a huge kingdom, locally called the Siam. There other ruins old prehistoric monuments which also are a tourist attraction.  Ayuthaya is easy to get to from Bangkok via roads, railways, water ways and airborne.

Chiang Rai

With hot springs and waterfalls, Chaiang Rai is one of the most popular destinations for the surrealistic nature. This place has some of the coolest hiking experiences where you’ll meet local tribes. There is a significant touch of religion in Chiang Rai, and their famous temple is the Wat Rong Khun. They even have the nation’s biggest statue, the Chinese Goddess of Mercy, Guan Yin. You can also stop at the Golden Triangle here, not the Bermuda kind of one, this is the point where three countries meet (Thailand, Myanmar and Laos). This place is a backpacker’s haven!

Khao Sok National Park

Considered as the most eye catching wild reserves of Thailand, the Khao Sok National Park is the place to be for all nature enthusiasts. This place is home to animals that are attract a lot of people and they are Asian elephants, Malayan tapirs, various monkeys breeds like gibbons, pig-tailed macaques, langurs, barking deer, wild boar and bears. The views from the vantage points are stunning, and the trekking here is the most serene one. Tourists can visit the waterfalls, swim in natural pools, take photos and much more.  This place is largely covered by rivers, lakes, lime stones and forests. Some of the best water bodies are found in Surat Thani province of southern Thailand.

Thailand Islands

The coast is filled with small island which have their own special attractions. The diving Mecca is found here in Ko Tao. There are so many gorgeous beaches to soak up the sunlight in and speaking of which, the famous movie called “The Beach” was shot here in the Phi Phi islands and released in 2002, starring Leonardo Di Caprio. Phuket is the most developed island here. There are various seasons for tourists to come visit this comfy place.

Bangkok

The largest city and capital of Thailand, Bangkok has a lot to offer. From the nightlife to the local cultures, food, hotels, monuments etc, Bangkok never fails to surprise you! The Khao San Road is the most the famous local street for shopping on low budgets. There are even sacred temples there such as the Wat Phra Kaew Temple, which is home to the Emerald Buddha.
